Demo 1: Web Audio API - 3D Positional Audio (HRTF)

This demo uses the Web Audio API to create a sound and move it around your head. You should hear the sound change position. This works with any stereo headphones.

Demo 2: Testing System-Level Spatial Audio with audio.mp4 (Video Display)

This section attempts to play audio.mp4 and will display its video content. For true system-level spatial audio from the file (like Dolby Atmos or 5.1/7.1 surround being spatialized by macOS with compatible headphones), the following conditions must still be met:

Prerequisites:

• The file audio.mp4 must contain a multi-channel audio track (e.g., 5.1 AAC, E-AC-3 JOC for Atmos).
• Your browser (e.g., your custom Chromium build) must be configured to correctly output the multi-channel audio to the operating system.
• On macOS, "Spatial Audio" (Fixed or Head Tracked) must be enabled in Control Center > Sound, and you must be using compatible headphones (AirPods Pro/Max, AirPods 3rd Gen, Beats Fit Pro, etc.).

If audio.mp4 is a valid multi-channel audio file and your system/browser are set up correctly, you should hear spatial audio while watching the video.
